Lecturer in Economics
I am a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Sahiwal, Pakistan, and a PhD scholar in Applied Economics at Nanjing University, China. My academic work connects development and regional economic questions with environmental change, energy transition, institutional quality, global production networks, and technology-driven sustainability.
My research focuses on how institutions, production networks, green technology, and energy systems shape economic development and environmental outcomes across regions and countries.
I teach undergraduate economics, supervise student research projects, and contribute to departmental quality enhancement and academic service activities.
My empirical work uses econometrics, panel data methods, R, Stata, E-Views, Python, Tableau, and reproducible research tools.
Core interests include data analysis, statistics, econometrics, economic growth and development, convergence/divergence among developing countries, global value chains, climate change, and energy.
Teaching undergraduate economics courses, supervising undergraduate research projects, serving as a program team member of the Quality Enhancement Cell, and contributing to departmental and campus-level academic duties.
Taught undergraduate economics, supervised research projects, served as a member of the Senate of the University, and worked as campus focal person for the Hybrid Learning Program.
Worked on inter- and intra-city clearing and day-to-day banking operations.
